Back in January Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) signed on to direct the long-gestating live-action adapation of the anime classic Ghost in the Shell, and now it looks like we may have our first cast member.
According to The Wrap, Margot Robbie (The Wolf of Wall Street) is in early talks for the lead role “of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting technology-related crime.”
Following her breakthrough in The Wolf of Wall Street, Robbie will next be seen alongside Will Smith in Focus, and she has also Z for Zachariah and Tarzan on the horizon.
