Margot Robbie always looked as great as a Barbie doll, but with the first look at her playing the iconic toy she could be even more stunning. Yes, we now have our first image featuring Robbie in character from in the upcoming Barbie film. Academy Award-nominated Greta Gerwig will helm the movie, who co-wrote the script with her partner Noah Baumbach.
In the first look photo we see Robbie in Barbie’s signature pink convertible, flashing her stellar smile while serving a little fashion in her polka-dot headband. Many felt Robbie would nail the look, but this debuting image has fans buzzing about her turn in the film. Check out the full image here…
The first look image and release date were announced on Tuesday during the Warner Bros. presentation at Las Vegas’ CinemaCon. The film will hit U.S. theaters on July 21st, 2023. It will drop opposite Oppenheimer, a new Christopher Nolan film. That will mark Nolan’s first project after his split from Warner. Could the studio be using this as a way to counter the star-studded Nolan film with a stacked cast of their own?
