Margot Robbie joins Sony’s Peter Rabbit movie

Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie looks set to become the latest addition to the cast of Sony’s live-action/CG-hybrid Peter Rabbit movie, with Variety reporting that the Australian actress is in final talks to join the project.

Peter Rabbit is being directed by Will Gluck (Easy A), and sees James Corden (Into the Woods) lending his voice to the title character alongside a human cast that includes Rose Byrne (X-Men: Apocalypse), Elizabeth Debicki (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2) and Star Wars: The Force Awakens stars Daisy Ridley and Domhnall Gleeson.

The film will reunite Robbie with Gleeson, with the pair having recently wrapped production on the A.A. Milne biopic Goodbye Christopher Robin.

Production on Peter Rabbit is due to commence in January 2017, with the film set for worldwide release in April 2018.
