Margot Robbie’s LuckyChap Entertainment is set to produce a period musical entitled Big Gay Jamboree, which is set up at Paramount Pictures.
Described as a mix of Oklahoma! and The Book of Mormon, Deadline reports that the film will follow “a young, raunchy woman who is transported into a 1940s musical and must find her way back home to present day.”
Alethea Jones (Fun Moms Dinner) is set to direct the movie from a script by Maria Mindelle and Jonathan Parks-Ramage. Robbie is on board as a producer, but at this point she is not attached to star.
Robbie is currently reprising her role as the fan favourite DC crackpot Harley Quinn in Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), and will next be in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, where she plays actress and Manson Family victim Sharon Tate.
