Comic book writer Mark Millar has taken to Twitter to tease a big announcement concerning the characters of Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl, complete with an image of Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloe Grace Moretz in character.
Right, this brilliance won't write itself. Time to help get a press release together for the big Kick-Ass and Hit-Girl news next week… pic.twitter.com/Z2hxrTgt4B

Naturally, the assumption here is that we could be getting a third instalment of the movie series, which was originally planned before Kick-Ass 2 opened to mixed reviews and an underwhelming box office back in 2013.
Millar has recently sold his company Millarworld to Netflix, so it’s possible that the streaming giant could be looking to produce a new movie or TV adaptation. However, as Millar states, we should get an official announcement this coming week.
