Deadline is reporting that Apple Original Films and Skydance Media have snapped up the rights to the new Mark Wahlberg project The Family Plan, an action comedy which is being helmed by Simon Cellan Jones (Years and Years), director of Wahlberg’s upcoming Arthur the King.
As per the trade’s report, The Family Plan has been scripted by David Coggeshall (Orphan: First Kill) and will see Wahlberg starring as “a suburban dad who must take his family on the run when his past catches up to him.”
As well as starring, Wahlberg is also producing along with Municipal Pictures’ Stephen Levinson and Wahlberg will produce with Skydance’s David Ellison, Dana Goldberg and Don Granger.

Wahlberg has already has two films out this year in Uncharted and Father Stu, while his Kevin Hart comedy Me Time hits Netflix this month and he has also recently wrapped the thriller Our Man From Jersey for the streamer.
