It may not have enjoyed the same kind of record-breaking successor as its two fellow MCU releases of 2018 in Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War, but Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp has reached a new box office milestone with the film passing $600 million worldwide.
Domestically, the Peyton Reed-directed sequel has earned $214.1 million, with a further $386.7 worldwide (including $112 million from China) for a grand total of $600.8 million and counting.
Ant-Man and the Wasp is the eighth consecutive Marvel Studios movie to pass $600 million, and the fifteenth MCU film to reach that milestone. The last not to do so was its predecessor, with the original Ant-Man having earned $519.3 million back in 2015.
Between Black Panther, Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp, Marvel Studios has grossed a whopping $3.994 billion at the global box office and will likely hit the $4 billion mark for the year this weekend.
