Having officially announced the project at Comic-Con last month, Marvel Studios has now made another two additions to the cast of its cosmic Phase Four superhero blockbuster Eternals in Gemma Chan (Captain Marvel) and Barry Keoghan (Dunkirk).
Chan appeared in this year’s Captain Marvel, portraying the Starforce member Minn-Erva, but its unclear at this point whether she will be reprising that role, or starring as a completely new character (something that would see the actress joining a very elite club of people who have played more than one role in the MCU).
Eternals is being directed by Chloe Zhao (The Rider) and features a cast that includes Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) as Thena, Richard Madden (Bodyguard) as Ikarus, Don Lee (Train to Busan) as Gilgamesh, Salma Hayek (The Hitman’s Bodyguard) as Ajak, Lauren Ridloff (The Walking Dead) as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry (Child’s Play) as Phastos, Lia McHugh (American Woman) as Sprite and Kumail Nanjiani (The Big Sick) as Kungo.
