Marvel has revealed that the Loki Disney+ series will return for a second season via an announcement during a mid-credits scene in the season one finale which was released on Wednesday 14th July.
In the mid-credits scene, Loki’s variant case file is shown before somebody stamps it with a message revealing season two is in development. There are currently no details on when production will begin on the second season or a release date.
Loki is the first Marvel Disney+ series to be renewed for a follow-up season as WandaVision has previously been confirmed to be a limited series while The Falcon and the Winter Soldier was titled as an ongoing series but a second season hasn’t been confirmed as of now (a fourth Captain America movie has, which may have potentially changed Marvel’s plans on this front).
Marvel Studios’ “Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”
Loki features a cast that includes Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino, Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sasha Lane, Wunmi Mosaku, Deobia Oparei, Jack Veal , and Richard E. Grant.
