Marvel Studios’ upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk has added Renée Elise Goldsberry to its cast to co-star alongside lead star Tatiana Maslany.
According to Deadline, Goldsberry, who is perhaps best known for her role as Angelica Schuyler in the musical Hamilton, will play a character named Amelia, though no other details were provided by the studio at this time.
Goldsberry will star alongside Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany as Jennifer Walters/She-Hulk as well as Ginger Gonzaga as Walter’s best friend, Tim Roth who will be reprising his Incredible Hulk role as Emil Blonsky/Abomination, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/The Hulk. Recent rumours have suggested that will see the return of Krysten Ritter as detective Jessica Jones now that the rights to the character have reverted back to Marvel from Netflix.
She-Hulk will follow Jennifer Walters (Maslany), a criminal defence lawyer who finds herself transformed into the sensational She-Hulk after an emergency blood transfusion from her cousin Bruce Banner. The series has been described as a half-hour legal comedy to be directed by Kat Coiro and Anu Valia with Jessica Gao as the lead writer.
