Marvel’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man animated series still be a couple of days out from its premiere, but that hasn’t stopped Disney+ from already renewing the show for a third season.
Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man follows Peter Parker in high school after he gets bitten by a radioactive spider and develops his amazing powers, taking his first steps to becoming the Spider-Man fans know and love. The series was already renewed for a second season last year, but Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum announced the latest renewal as a guest on The Movie Podcast.
“I’ve now read all the scripts for Season 2, we’re halfway through the animatics. What Jeff [Trammell, series creator] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off,” Winderbaum said on the podcast. He went on to announce the third season, telling the podcast “We’re also greenlit for through Season 3, and in a couple weeks, I’m gonna hear his pitch for the third season of the show, and I’m like a fan, I can’t wait.”
