Variety is reporting that Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, 10 Cloverfield Lane) has signed on to appear in the third season of FX’s acclaimed drama Fargo, joining the previously announced Ewan McGregor and Carrie Coon.
According to the site, Winstead will play “Nikki Swango, a crafty and alluring recent parolee with a passion for competitive bridge playing. Nikki is a woman with a plan, focused on always being at least one move ahead of her opponents.”
The third season of the show will see McGregor taking on the dual roles of brothers Emmit and Ray Stussy, with Coon portraying Gloria Burgle, the chief of the Eden Valley police. Production is scheduled to get underway later this year, ahead of its return to the small screen in 2017.
