Darren Aronofsky’s upcoming crime thriller Caught Stealing has added Matt Smith (House of the Dragon) and Liev Scheiber (Ray Donovan) to his cast.
Smith and Schreiber join Austin Butler (Dune: Part Two), Zoë Kravitz (Blink Twice) and Regina King (Watchmen) in the film. Character details for Smith and Schreiber are kept under wraps, but the film will follow Butler as a former baseball player who gets pulled into a life of crime.
Caught Stealing is based on the book by author Charlie Huston, who adapted the screenplay for Aronofsky. If focuses on Hank Thompson (Butler), a burned-out former baseball player, as he’s unwittingly plunged into a wild fight for survival in the downtown criminal underworld of ’90s NYC.
