Max Landis writing Pepe Le Pew movie

July 28, 2016 by Gary Collinson

During his appearance at Comic-Con to promote the upcoming TV series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency [watch the trailer here], Max Landis revealed that he’s currently writing the script for an animated Pepe Le Pew movie for Warner Bros.

Created by Chuck Jones and Michael Maltese and first introduced in the Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies cartoons back in 1945, Pepe Le Pew is a French skunk who stolls around Paris looking for love, despite his odorous scent and refusal to take “no” for an answer.

Landis has serveal projects in development beyond Dirk Gently, with the anthology series Channel Zero at Syfy, and feature films Bright and Deeper at Netflix and MGM respectively.
