Following The Babysitter: Killer Queen, fans were curious if McG has a third outing in this twisted horror comedy world, and it seems like we have our answer.
Speaking with ComicBook.com to promote his new family comedy Family Switch, McG addressed the looming Babysitter 3.
“Yeah, we’re still talking about it. It was fun. The first movie, obviously, gave Samara Weaving to the world, and the second movie was Jenna Ortega. Hopefully, we can answer the call and find a third star that reaches those lofty heights,” says the filmmaker.
The first Babysitter film, which dropped in 2017, starred Samara Weaving, Judah Lewis, Hana Mae Lee, Robbie Amell, and Bella Thorne. The sequel, The Babysitter: Killer Queen, brought back all the characters and even added a pre-Wednesday Jenna Ortega, which found success on streaming when it dropped in the fall of 2020.
In 2020, McG expressed early interest in the third film, stating that he had plans for a third and final film to conclude the series. Only time will tell if the film materializes and if he can get his now A-list stars back in the mix.
Family Switch will arrive exclusively on Netflix on November 30th, where you can also watch the first two Babysitter films.
