According to Deadline, director Richard Donner and stars Mel Gibson and Danny Glover are keen on another instalment in the action-comedy franchise Lethal Weapon, with Deadline reporting that Lethal Weapon 5 could be on the horizon.
According to the site, Donner is keen to direct, with Gibson and Glover reprising their roles as detectives Riggs and Murtaugh, with Channing Gibson (Lethal Weapon 4) penning the script. Apparently all four are officially on board, should the project move forward.
Question: If Roger Murtaugh was too old for this shit in 1987, then how the hell old is he in 2017?!
The Lethal Weapon series launched in 1987, and was followed by sequels in 1989, 1992 and 1998, with the series grossing $955.2 million worldwide. It also spawned a TV series, which premiered on Fox in 2016 and stars Clayne Crawford as Riggs and Damon Wayans as Murtaugh.
