Memories of Mars early access trailer revealed ahead of June launch

May 30, 2018 by Andrew Newton

505 Games and Limbic Entertainment have announced that they will be taking gamers to the red planet on the 5th June when their open world online sandbox survival game on the, Memories of Mars, arrives on Steam Early Access.  You can get a glimpse of what awaits in the early access trailer below…

Mars is a harsh and unforgiving planet at the best of times but with Memories of Mars the landscape is even more merciless.  Players will compete with other players and enemy NPCs for resources whilst trying to build a base to survive the elements.  Numerous locations await exploration including abandoned terraforming towers, mining sites, caves, canyons and meteor impact sites.

Using a unique ‘seasons’ mechanic, Memories of Mars differs from other survival games as death is inevitable due to periodic catastrophic solar flares that destroy all life and player made structures off the surface giving players the opportunity to start anew.  Some talents and abilities learned through the season can be backed up and carried over into the new season and the planet’s surface will change with familiar places rearranged in new locations, new points of interest, updated events, new blueprints for creating different weapons and modules etc.

Memories of Mars will be available on Steam Early Access from the 5th June with a limited time 10% launch discount.
