Memories of Mars lands on Steam Early Access

June 5, 2018 by Andrew Newton

It’s time to journey to the red planet with 505 Games and Limbic Entertainment’s as their open world online sandbox survival game, Memories of Mars, arrives on Steam Early Access.  Memories of Mars will see players surviving the arid dusty red landscape against other players, NPCs and the elements.  The game is available on Steam Early Access with a 10% launch discount.

In Memories of Mars players will be tasked with surviving the harsh and unforgiving landscape of Mars.  Not only will players have to survive the merciless environment but they will also have to compete with other players and enemy NPCs for resources whilst trying to build a base to survive although teams can be formed of like-minded players who see the advantages of joining forces.  Numerous locations await exploration including abandoned terraforming towers, mining sites, caves, canyons and meteor impact sites.

This open world sandbox survival game uses a unique ‘seasons’ mechanic that makes death inevitable due to periodic catastrophic solar flares that destroy all life and player made structures off the surface thus giving all players the opportunity to start anew.  Some talents and abilities learned throughout the season can be backed up and carried over into the new season and the planet’s surface will change with familiar places rearranged in new locations, new points of interest, updated events, new blueprints for creating different weapons and modules etc.

Memories of Mars is available on Steam Early Access now.
