Metal Wolf Chaos XD gets a launch trailer

August 6, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Devolver Digital have revealed the launch trailer for FromSoftware’s long awaited action title Metal Wolf Chaos XD ahead of the game’s launch tomorrow on Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC.  This animated launch trailer (see below) created by Powerhouse Animation (Netflix’s Castlevania) recreates some of the game’s most iconic moments.

In Metal Wolf Chaos XD players take the role of the 47th President of the United States, Michael Wilson, who is having to fight back against the full scale rebellion led by Vice President Richard Hawk and his mechanised military.  As the president it is up to the player to take back the country by jumping in to an advanced mech and battle across the US through iconic landscapes, including the Brooklyn Bridge, the Grand Canyon and the front steps of the White House.

Devolver Digital and FromSoftware have revamped the game to take advantage of today’s hardware so will feature upgraded visual fidelity, refined controls and gameplay, a new save system and 4K support.

Metal Wolf Chaos XD first appeared back in 2004 exclusively in Japan and it became incredibly rare for anyone to ever be able to play it in the west, this time it will release for Xbox One, PS4 and PC owners everywhere.
