The Thomas Crown Affair is set for a new remake courtesy of MGM, with The Hollywood Reporter revealing that Michael B. Jordan (Fantastic Four, Creed) has signed on for the title role in the project, which is being developed as a vehicle for the actor.
The original movie was released in 1968 and starred Steve McQueen as a millionaire businessman who moonlights as a robber, and Faye Dunaway as the insurance agent investigating his latest heist. It was remade by MGM in 1999, with Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo starring.
Jordan himself pitched MGM with the idea for the new remake, although as yet there’s no writer or director attached.
