An all-star blockbuster duo is coming together again with Netflix’s Fast and Loose as Deadline reports that director Michael Bay will likely join actor Will Smith in this upcoming actioner. The outlet notes that the deal is not official yet, but it will likely be the next project for both.
Fast and Loose focuses on a crime boss who loses his memory after an attack and gradually learns that he was living a double life as a CIA agent. The script was written by Jon Hoeber, Erich Hoeber, Chris Bremner, and Eric Pearson.
This marks the first pairing between the director and actor since Bad Boys 2; Bay did have an acting cameo in 2020’s Bad Boys For Life alongside Smith. The first time they worked together was 1995’s Bad Boys.
Smith is still working his way through the drama caused at the Oscars but has been making a splash with his recent outing in Bad Boys: Ride or Die. His return to the beloved franchise seemingly reminded audiences of his immense talent as a blockbuster megastar, and reuniting with blockbuster maestro Michael Bay could be a good one-two punch for Smith.

Bay’s most recent project was 2022’s Ambulance, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.
A start date for production on Fast and Loose has yet to be locked in.
