Michael J. Fox set for guest role in Designated Survivor

January 15, 2018 by Amie Cranswick

Michael J. Fox is heading back to the small screen, with Deadline reporting that the actor is set for a five-episode arc in the second season of ABC’s Designated Survivor.

Fox is set to portray Ethan West, “a high-flying and connected Washington attorney who is hired by the President’s Cabinet and ultimately appointed as special prosecutor to investigate former President Cornelius Moss’s alleged leak of classified information. West is a hyper-competitive, wily, relentless lawyer who plays his cards close to the vest and whose only allegiance is to his mandate — a single-mindedness that makes him an unpredictable and formidable adversary for President Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland).”

The Back to the Future star has recently appeared in guest roles in Curb Your Enthusiasm and Nightcap, as well as making numerous appearances in The Good Wife, receiving three Emmy Award nominations for his guest role as Louis Canning.

Designated Survivor returns to ABC on February 28th.
