Michael K. Williams joins Assassin’s Creed movie

Fresh from the news that he’s joined the cast of Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters reboot, it has now been announced that Michael K. Williams (The Wire, Boardwalk Empire) has signed on to appear in the upcoming videogame adaptation Assassin’s Creed for a character who is said to have a “major stake in the franchise.”

Assassin’s Creed is being produced by Michael Fassbender, who is also set for the lead role alongside his Macbeth costar Marion Cotillard and director Justin Kurzel.

Assassin’s Creed is set for release on December 21st 2016.
