Variety reports Michael Keaton (The Flash), Mila Kunis (Bad Moms) and Vivien Lyra Blair (Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi) have been cast as the leads in Goodrich, a family comedy from Hallie Meyers-Shyer who is directing off a script she wrote.
Goodrich follows Keaton’s Andy Goodrich, an art dealer whose life is upended when his younger second wife leaves him and enters a 90-day rehab program while also threatening divorce. Andy takes charge of their nine-year-old twins, thrusting him into the world of modern parenthood for which he is deeply unprepared. With his career falling by the wayside, Andy leans on his grown and pregnant daughter Grace (Kunis) for support and ultimately evolves into the father Grace never had. With all his relationships being put to the test, Andy learns the true meaning of having it all.
With Keaton and Kunis playing father/daughter, Blair will play Billie, one of Andy’s nine-year-olds who is described as “smart, observant, straightforward and funny.”
Also starring in the film are Andie MacDowell (The Way Home), Carmen Ejogo (Your Honor), Kevin Pollak (The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel), Michael Urie (Shrinking), Laura Benanti (Gossip Girl), Danny Deferrari (Oppenheimer) and Poorna Jagannathan (Never Have I Ever).
Goodrich is currently filming in Los Angeles. Keaton and Sony’s Amy Pascal are executive producing with Jason Cloth and Dave Caplan’s C2 Motion Picture Group financing and producing the film alongside Daniela Taplin Lundberg and Kevin Mann.
