Sony Pictures and Blumhouse’s big screen adaptation of the hit ABC TV series Fantasy Island is filling out its cast, with Deadline reporting that Michael Rooker (Guardians of the Galaxy), Charlotte McKinney (Baywatch), Parisa Fitz-Henley (Luke Cage) and Austin Stowell (Catch 22) have joined the film.
Fantasy Island is being directed by Jeff Wadlow (Truth or Dare) and will see Michael Pena (Ant-Man) taking on the role of Mister Roarke, the mysterious host of an island where guests can live out their fantasies, for a price.
The movie is said to be a cross between Westworld and The Cabin in the Woods, and also has Dave Bautista (Avengers: Infinity War), Lucy Hale (Truth or Dare), Jimmy O. Yang (Crazy Rich Asians), Ryan Hansen (Veronica Mars) and Portia Doubleday (Mr. Robot) attached to star.
Fantasy Island is set for release on February 28th 2020. Wadlow has written the script with Truth or Dare co-writers Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach, while Jason Blum produces.
