Michael Sheen set to join Chris Pratt and Jennifer Lawrence in Passengers

July 18, 2015 by Scott J. Davis

Variety has revealed that Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) is in talks to join Sony’s big-budget sci-fi drama Passengers.

The Brit actor will join Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) and Jennifer Lawrence (American Hustle) in the film, which is being directed by Morten Tyldem (The Imitation Game) from a script by Jon Spaihts (Prometheus). Here’s the official synopsis…

A spacecraft travelling to a distant colony planet and transporting thousands of people has a malfunction in one of its sleep chambers. As a result, a single passenger is awakened 60 years early. Faced with the prospect of growing old and dying alone, he eventually decides to wake up a second passenger.

Passengers is set for release in 2016.
