Michelle Yeoh joins female driven action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake

May 12, 2019 by Gary Collinson

Crazy Rich Asians and Star Trek: Discovery’s Michelle Yeoh has become the latest addition to the cast of writer-director Navot Papushado’s (Big Bad Wolves) female-led action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake.

Described as “a female driven high-concept film that has a rich mythology and spans multiple generations”, Gunpowder Milkshake features a cast that includes Karen Gillan (Avengers: Endgame), Lena Headey (Game of Thrones), Angela Bassett (Black Panther) and Paul Giamatti (Billions).

Yeoh recently signed on to appear in James Cameron’s Avatar sequels, while she is also set to headline a Star Trek: Discovery Section-31 spinoff, although this is said to be “a good couple of years away”.
