After scaring audiences with The Haunting of Hill House, The Haunting of Bly Manor and most recently Midnight Mass, Mike Flanagan has now set another project at Netflix with a series order for The Fall of the House of Usher.
Taking its title from Edgar Allan Poe’s 1839 short story, the series will reportedly incorporate several of Poe’s works, although specific plot details are being kept under wraps at present.
Flanagan will executive produce the series alongside his Intrepid Pictures partner Trevor Macy, and is set to direct four episodes of the show, with the other four being tackled by Michael Fimognari (To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You).
Before we get to The Fall of the House of Usher, Flanagan and Intrepid have another Netflix series incoming in the horror mystery-thriller The Midnight Club, an adaptation of Christopher Pike’s 1994 YA novel which is expected to premiere on the streamer in 2022.
