Miles Teller to reunite with Shailene Woodley for Adrift

April 9, 2017 by Gary Collinson

Back in February it was announced that Baltasar Kormakur (Everest) is to direct Shailene Woodley in the sea survival tale Adrift, and now THR is reporting that Woodley’s Divergent and The Spectacular Now co-star Miles Teller is also in talks to join the project.

Adrift will tell the true story of Tami Oldham, a woman who sets off on a sailing trip with her fiance when their boat is struck by the biggest hurricane in the history of the Pacific Ocean. With her fiance badly injured and their boat in ruins, Tami faces a race against the clock to save herself and the only man she’s ever loved. Woodley will play Tami, with Teller as her husband.

The film has been written by Aaron and Jordan Kandell (Moana), and is slated to go into production in the summer, with Teller then moving on to star in Nicolas Winding Refn’s Amazon series Too Old to Die Young.
