Minari cuts deep and hits you right in the feels. Join our host EJ Moreno as he breaks down this powerful film, from director Lee Isaac Chung, and explains why it’s one of the year’s strongest films. Our host looks into what it means to explore the American dream, and how important family is along that path.
A tender and sweeping story about what roots us, Minari follows a Korean-American family that moves to a tiny Arkansas farm in search of their own American Dream. The family home changes completely with the arrival of their sly, foul-mouthed, but incredibly loving grandmother. Amidst the instability and challenges of this new life in the rugged Ozarks, Minari shows the undeniable resilience of family and what really makes a home.
Minari is scheduled for a limited release by A24 on December 11th 2020, prior to a wide release on February 12th 2021.
