With Ms. Marvel now in the rear-view mirror and Kamala Khan’s whereabouts currently unknown until next year’s The Marvels, one of the show’s concept artists Karla Ortiz has taken to social media to show off some alternate designs for Kamala’s superhero costume, as well as her Captain Marvel cosplay from the first episode.

My very first post on twitter. Never did my own post so had to ask my sister how to make a twitter post lol. This was the very first piece I did for #marvelstudios

More #MsMarvel concept art. Here are two unused concepts for Ms. Marvel's main costume. All created before the wonderful Iman Vellani was cast, who has done a stellar job with the role! I loved exploring slightly different looks inspired by the comic book! Stay tuned for more!:) pic.twitter.com/mbnc0th18h

Excited to share some of the art I've done for #MissMarvel in the coming days!
We'll start with Kamala's Captain Marvel cosplay concept art! These were done long before the wonderful Iman Vellani was cast. I had a lot of fun getting that "get your pic taken at a con" feel! 🙂 pic.twitter.com/zUJz7oZNIf

“Ms. Marvel,” introduces Kamala Khan—a 16-year-old Pakistani-American growing up in Jersey City. A great student, an avid gamer and a voracious fan-fiction scribe, she has a special affinity for superheroes, particularly Captain Marvel. But Kamala struggles to fit in at home and at school—that is, until she gets super powers like the heroes she’s always looked up to. Life is easier with super powers, right?
Ms. Marvel sees Iman Vellani starring alongside Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Naki, Azher Usman, Travina Springer, Nimra Bucha, Laurel Marsden, Anjali Bhimani, Farhan Akhtar and Arian Moayed.
Ms. Marvel is available to stream now on Disney+.
