Teen Wolf, the hit teen horror series on MTV, is ready to howl at the moon again as Variety reports that a revival of the mega-popular series is on the way.
Instead of returning as a new limited series, Teen Wolf will now be a Paramount+ film. The news comes from a new overall deal series creator Jeff Davis has signed with MTV Entertainment Studios. Davis will write and executive produce the film.
For die-hard fans of the Teen Wolf series, fear not as Variety also reports that Davis is in talks with the original cast in hopes of their return, including Tyler Posey, Dylan O’Brien, Crystal Reed, Tyler Hoechlin, Holland Roden, Colton Haynes, and Arden Cho.
The Teen Wolf series originally ran on MTV from 2011-2017 for six seasons and hit 100 episodes. The series will head to Paramount+ to stream this December.
As part of this new deal, Davis will also be turning Edo Van Belkom’s Wolf Pack books into a new series, and will also serve as the showrunner for the planned live-action series reboot of Aeon Flux, which is heading from MTV to Paramount+.
