Prime Video has released a poster and trailer for the alternate history fantasy series My Lady Jane.
Based on Brodi Ashton, Cynthia Hand and Jodi Meadows’ bestselling novel of the same name, the series reimagines the life of Lady Jane Grey when, rather then being beheaded, finds herself crowned queen and living a life full of love and adventure. Watch the trailer below…
Inspired by the best-selling book, My Lady Jane is a radical retelling of English royal history, in which King Henry VIII’s son Edward does not die of tuberculosis, Lady Jane Grey is not beheaded, and neither is her scoundrel of a husband Guildford. At the centre of this swashbuckling new series is the brilliant and headstrong Jane, who is shocked to be crowned queen and finds herself the target of nefarious villains coming for the crown (and her head)… My Lady Jane is an epic tale of true love and high adventure.
The series sees Emily Bader lead the cast as Jane Grey alongside Edward Bluemel as Guildford Dudley; Jordan Peters as King Edward; Dominic Cooper as Lord Seymour; Anna Chancellor as Jane’s mother, Lady Frances Grey; Rob Brydon as Lord Dudley, Guildford’s father, and Jim Broadbent as the Duke of Leicester, Jane’s uncle.
My Lady Jane premieres on Prime Video on June 27th.
