Nat Wolff has signed on to star in the fantasy adventure Mortal, which is being directed by Norwegian filmmaker Andre Øvredal (The Autopsy of Jane Doe, Trollhunter).
Mortal is described as a coming of age, which follows a young man (Wolff) discovering he has God like powers based on ancient Norwegian mythology. Production is set to begin in Norway this June.
“Nat Wolff is a talented young actor who has demonstrated tremendous range in his roles to date with Mortal offering him the perfect vehicle to showcase his abilities,” said Nordisk Film’s John Einar Hagen, Automatik’s Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and 42’s Ben Pugh. “Andre is a visionary director who has written a truly immersive, epic tale which takes advantage of Norway’s stunning landscapes and we can’t wait to see him in action on set.”
Wolff will next be seen in Adam Wingard’s Death Note adaptation, which debuts in August, followed by the romantic comedy Home Again in September.
