Natural Disasters coming to Cities: Skylines Console

The budding city mayors among you who are getting bored with the peaceful life will be pleased to hear that Paradox Interactive will be bringing the Natural Disasters expansion will be coming to Cities: Skylines on consoles on 15th May.  The latest expansion to reach consoles will include a variety of disasters which will provide a new set of challenges.  A new trailer has been released to announce the upcoming disasters, see below…

The Natural Disasters expansion for Cities: Skylines will allow mayors to select disasters when they want them to happen or can choose for them to occur randomly.  Not only will there be a large variety of natural disasters to enjoy but also an assortment of early warning systems, countermeasures and emergency plans for rescue, recovery and rebuilding.

Featuring:

  • Meteor strikes, forest fires, tsunamis, earthquakes and more.
  • Plan for and respond to disasters using early warning systems, countermeasures, and new disaster responses such as helicopters and evacuations.
  • New radio systems with disaster warnings.
  • A series of pre-made scenarios to challenge players.
  • New hats for Chirper.

Released alongside the expansion will be three new in-game radio stations, these will be free and available to all.

The Natural Disasters expansion will arrive on 15th May.
