After making the jump to television for the likes of Game of Thrones, Black Sails, Hannibal and Constantine, it looks like Neil Marshall has found his next big screen project, with Deadline reporting that the filmmaker has signed on to helm The Sentence.
The project, which is being financed by EuropaCorp, is described as “a futuristic revenge thriller in the vein of Death Wish“, and has been scripted by Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt (Olympus Has Fallen).
The Sentence will mark Marshall’s first feature film since 2010’s Centurion, although he has directed a segment of the upcoming anthology horror Tales of Halloween. He also remains attached to a remake of Troll Hunter, as well as The Last Voyage of Demeter and Hellfest.
