Last year it was reported that Woody Harrelson and Kevin Costner were in talks to star in the Netflix event series The Highwaymen, and now the streaming service has officially announced the project.
Directed by John Lee Hancock (Saving Mr. Banks, The Founder) from a script by John Fusco (Young Guns, Hidalgo), The Highwaymen will tell the story of Frank Hamer and Manny Gault, two former Texas Rangers who came out of retirement to hunt the notorious outlaws Bonny Parker and Clyde Barrow.
Filming on The Highwaymen is now underway in Louisiana, with Costner and Harrelson starring alongside Kathy Bates, John Carroll Lynch, Kim Dickens, Thomas Mann and William Sadler.
