Netflix orders Guillermo del Toro’s horror anthology series 10 After Midnight

May 15, 2018 by Tom Beasley

Guillermo del Toro is expanding his partnership with Netflix to take the helm of a new live-action anthology horror series, which will be titled Guillermo del Toro Presents 10 After Midnight.

Deadline reports that the streaming giant has hired Del Toro to act as the guiding light behind its first original horror anthology series.

It marks another collaboration between Netflix and Del Toro, who created the Emmy-winning animated series Trollhunters for the service, which is set to expand into a trilogy of inter-connected shows.

His new series, 10 After Midnight, will feature a selection of stories “personally curated” by the Mexican auteur, who won the Oscar for Best Director this year with The Shape of Water.

Del Toro will write and direct an unspecified number of the episodes, while also selecting a roster of hand-picked creators to put together the other stories.
