Deadline is reporting that Steven S. DeKnight’s (Daredevil) upcoming Netflix adaptation of the Mark Millar and Frank Quitely comic book series Jupiter’s Legacy has added Tenika Davis (Incorporated) in a recurring role.
Davis is set to portray Petra Small / The Flare, “the daughter of legendary hero Fitz Small, aka the original Flare. Despite her strained past with her father, she takes up his mantel after he’s critically injured. And soon discovers that trying to be a hero in the modern world can have deadly consequences.”
Jupiter’s Legacy follows the world’s first generation of superheroes who are now the revered elder guard in the present day, where their superpowered children struggle to live up to the legendary feats of their parents.
Davis joins a cast that includes Josh Duhamel (Transformers: The Last Knight) as Sheldon Sampson/The Utopian, Ben Daniels (The Crown) as Walter Sampson/Brain-Wave, Leslie Bibb (Iron Man) as Grace Sampson/Lady Liberty; Elena Kampouris (Sacred Lies) as Chloe Sampson, Andrew Horton (How to Talk to Girls at Parties) as Brandon Sampson, Mike Wade (Timeless) as Fitz Small and Matt Lanter (Timeless) as George Hutchence.
