Back in April 2019 it was announced that Mike Myers would be making his return to the small screen by producing and starring in a new half-hour comedy for Netflix, and now we have a title, plot details and cast for the six-episode limited series.
Titled The Pentaverate, the series “asks ‘What if a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347?’ As the series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly save the world himself. Remember, the Pentaverate must never be exposed!”
Myers is set to take on no less than SEVEN roles in the series, and he’ll be joined in the cast by Ken Jeong (The Hangover), Keegan-Michael Key (Schmigadoon!), Debi Mazar (Entourage), Richard McCabe (Wallander), Jennifer Saunders (Absolutely Fabulous) and Lydia West (Years and Years).
