After getting into the superhero game with Supergirl, and getting out again after its first season, Variety is reporting that CBS is dipping its toes into the DC universe once again with the network developing a Secret Six TV adaptation.
As per the site, Secret Six “follows six morally ambiguous strangers, each with their own unique specialties and secret pasts. They are brought together by an enigmatic figure who blackmails them into working as a team to expose the corruption of the corporate and political elite.”
In the DC comic book universe, three different teams have used the name Secret Six, with the most recent created by Gail Simone and featuring villains such as Catman, Deadshot, Cheshire, Scandal, Rag Doll and Bane.
Secret Six has a pilot production commitment from CBS, with Rick Muirragui (Suits) writing and executive producing alongside Bill Lawrence (Scrubs), and Jeff Ingold (Whiskey Cavalier).
