With Phase Three now underway following the release of Captain America: Civil War, Joblo has posted a few rumours concerning two of Marvel Studios’ big 2017 releases in Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Potential spoilers follow…
We’ll start things off with Thor: Ragnarok, and the site reports that while the story itself is being finalised “the gist of Thor’s mission in the film is that he needs to find the ultimate weapon to stop Ragnarok and reset the universe.”
This mission will see Thor meeting up with Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk and incorporates elements of the Planet Hulk storyline, with the Green Goliath “involved in some gladiatorial games run by none other than Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster.”
The site also reports that Hulk will be seen in his Planet Hulk armor, while Chris Hemsworth’s God of Thunder will be seen with a shaved head “for at least a portion of the film” and Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie will appear very different from the comic books, including wearing war paint on her face.

Turning to Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and the site is reporting that their sources have confirmed that the main villain for the sequel is none other than Ayesha, a character who has also gone by the names Kismet, Paragon and Her in the comic books, and is thought to be portrayed in the film by Elizabeth Debicki.
In the comic books, Ayesha was created by the Enclave – a group of scientists dedicated to establishing a benevolent world dictatorship by artificially creating super-powerful beings. Ayesha was the Enclave’s second attempt after Him, a character who would go on to become known as Adam Warlock after his escape. The report states that it’s unclear how much of her origin will factor into the film, but it certainly raises the question about whether the sequel will see the introduction of Adam Warlock.
