Following online leaks and a polarizing fan reaction, The Last of Us Part II just dropped a brand new trailer and confirmed the upcoming release date. With sequel game finally ready to drop this June, this new footage sheds new light on the sequel.
In a post-pandemic world that transformed many of the infected into monsters, The Last of Us Part II picks up five years after Joel, our grizzled lead, smuggled a young girl who is immune to the disease out of his city to meet with a group of rebels.
Now, with time passing, Joel and Ellie settle down in Jackson, Wyoming. The now grown-up Ellie has even found love. But of course, nothing stays perfect. Based on the trailer below, it seems some very hostile outsiders attacked the group, setting Ellie on a mission of vengeance.
