New video reveals Perk changes for Alpha 18 of 7 Days to Die

June 21, 2019 by Andrew Newton

Alpha 17 of zombie survival game 7 Days to Die has completely changed how people survive the apocalypse for the better, but Alpha 18 is set to improve things even more.  This brand new video from Joel Huenink of The Fun Pimps talks through the overhaul given to the Perk system.  Get the Alpha 18 hype train started and enjoy the video below…

One of the first changes that Joel talks about is that the Perception attribute no longer covers all weapons but a select few that you’d expect would apply such as sniper rifle, other weapon perks will included under other attributes.  Under each attribute is a ranged weapon perk and those who choose this will not only be able to cause more damage, fire faster etc with that weapon, they will also be able to craft better weapons of that type.  This will also mean that in a multiplayer game survivors can’t just rely on one player to specialise in weapons.

When it comes to vehicles, the perks will allow players to craft the parts and anybody of any level will be able to craft a vehicle providing they have the necessary parts.

Each perk also now has a much more detailed description and some flavour text rather than the brief details in Alpha 17.  There are now also no level gates for perks, meaning that survivors will be able to boost a perk right up to max regardless of their level providing they have the points to do so.

Let us know what you think to these perk changes in the comments below or Tweet us @FMyth_Gaming.
