Ubisoft has announced that the next game in the Rainbow Six franchise, Rainbow Six Quarantine, has been officially renamed Rainbow Six Extraction. There’s also been a teaser trailer released and a developer video talking about the name change, both of which can be seen below. A full reveal will be made at the Ubisoft Forward event on 12th June 8pm BST.
Ubisoft’s upcoming PvE military shooter will see a sinister alien parasite taking over the world. The new teaser ‘Sprawl’ trailer shows this alien parasitic lifeform spreading its way through what looks like a military research facility until it reaches a research project codenamed Orpheus.
Considering the past year it’s probably a good move to change name, but that aside, there is something about the name Extraction that goes really well with the game considering its focus on PvE rather than PvP like the hugely popular Siege was. Players will need to ensure nobody is left behind so it sounds like co-operation will be much more essential to survival.
Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Extraction will have a full reveal on 12th June at 8pm BST at Ubisoft Forward.
