Searchlight Pictures has released the trailer for Laura Chinn’s semi-autobiographical drama Suncoast, which tells the story of a girl struggling to balance the pressures of being a teenager with caring for her sick brother.
Drawing from her own experiences as a caretaker for her sibling, Chinn (Florida Girls) makes her directorial debut with Suncoast, enlisting Nico Parker, who gave a memorable performance in HBO’s The Last of Us, as her teenage protagonist Doris, Ozark‘s Laura Linney as her mother, and True Detective‘s Woody Harrelson as an eccentric activist she befriends; check out the trailer below…

Suncoast will premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival before streaming on Hulu from February 9th.
