The nominations for the 24th annual Critics’ Choice Awards have been announced today, with Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite leading the movie nominations with 14 in total, including Best Picture, Best Director (Lanthimos), Best Actress (Olivia Colman), Best Supporting Actress (Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz) and Best Comedy.
The film will contest the Best Picture Award against Black Panther, BlacKkKlansman, First Man, Green Book, If Beale Street Could Talk, Mary Poppins Returns, Roma, A Star Is Born and Vice.
On the TV side of things, The Americans, The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story and Escape at Dannemora led the field with five nominations apiece, while HBO leads the networks with 20 nominations in total.
