Deadline is reporting that Noomi Rapace has signed on to headline Angel of Mine, a remake of the 2008 French film L’Empreinte de L’Ange, which is set to be directed by Kim Farrant from a script by David Regal and Oscar-nominated Lion screenwriter Luke Davies.
The film is set to begin production in April and sees Rapace as Lizzie, “a mother who, still struggling to cope with the loss of her daughter several years earlier, becomes convinced that a stranger’s daughter is her own. As her obsession grows, she becomes more and more entwined in this young girl’s life, causing her to lose touch with reality.”
Rapace was most recently seen in the Netflix films What Happened to Monday and Bright, and has recently completed production on the crime thriller Stockholm and action thriller Close. She is currently shooting the thriller The Price alongside Michael Shannon and Matthias Schweighofer.
