Screen Daily reports that the film from writer-director Kirsten Sheridan (August Rush) is attempting to negotiate with the in-demand Swede, who has Prometheus 2 on the horizon.
The news comes hot on the heels of Asif Kapadia’s Amy, which became the highest-grossing British documentary of all time earlier this year.
That film came under fire from Winehouse’s family – especially from father Mitch, who is reportedly putting together another film project about his daughter.
