Oculus: Watch Flickering Myth co-editor Luke Owen meet the Mirror

June 5, 2014 by admin

Oculus it out in cinemas on June 13th 2014 and last night, Flickering Myth co-editor Luke Owen went to a special screening of the movie at the Cineworld Haymarket in Piccadilly Circus. But it wasn’t just the movie that gave Luke this hibbie-jibbies as he also had a run-in with the movie’s terrifying mirror along with Gary Green of HeyUGuys.

Ten years ago, tragedy struck the Russell family, leaving the lives of teenage siblings Tim and Kaylie forever changed when Tim was convicted of the brutal murder of their parents.

Now in his 20s, Tim is newly released from protective custody and only wants to move on with his life; but Kaylie, still haunted by that fateful night, is convinced her parents’ deaths were caused by something else altogether: a malevolent supernatural force unleashed through the Lasser Glass, an antique mirror in their childhood home.

Determined to prove Tim’s innocence, Kaylie tracks down the mirror, only to learn similar deaths have befallen previous owners over the past century. With the mysterious entity now back in their hands, Tim and Kaylie soon find their hold on reality shattered by terrifying hallucinations, and realize, too late, that their childhood nightmare is beginning again…

Watch the video below Luke get “scared” by the mirror.

Alright, so he screams a bit.

Oculus is directed by Mike Flanagan and stars Karen Gillan (Doctor Who), Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica), Brenton Thwaites (Maleficent), Rory Cochrane (Argo), Annalise Basso (The Red Road), Garrett Ryan (Insidious: Chapter 2) and James Lafferty (One Tree Hill).
